Your Guide to Downtown LA

One of the hippest places in America, Downtown LA (otherwise known as DTLA) is full of creatives, artists, amazing food, and even better coffee. Here's some of our favorite places so far, but there's sooooo much good food to be added...

We're working on making our site easier for you to use, so in addition to our new DTLA guide, we also have a new LA page! It will act as a hub for all our LA content, from blog posts to neighborhood guides, so next time you're visiting be sure to pull up localwanderer.com/losangeles (and tell your friends!)

Today we give you a taste of DTLA with our latest neighborhood guide! The Classic is a modern, bright coffee shop serving Intelligentsia from bow-tied baristas, with a signature iced coffee called the Fashionista. Fancy!

Our favorite tacos in LA are from the awesome people at Guisados, and we can't get enough of the taco sampler (and chicken tinga taco!). We literally visit Guisados every single time we're in LA (usually three times), and the DTLA location serves breakfast tacos on weekends! Only until noon though, so make sure you wake up at a decent hour. CoLab Coffee is nearby, and they have a really rad, red, vintage La Marzocca serving up local Suits & Knives Coffee.

The best acai bowl downtown is found at Juice Crafters, and you can find quite a few of them around LA serving up local, organic, cold-pressed juices.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: we seriously love the Verve Coffee + Juice Served Here spot. Besides great coffee and juice tasting menus, it's also home to the most-photographed patio in the city (probably?).

We know we have soooo much more to add, so tell us your favorite DTLA spots in the comments below, or tag them #heynowdtla on Instagram. And don't forget that we also have a neighborhood guide to the Arts District!
