The Downtown Grand, Las Vegas

One of the reasons we love coming to Downtown Las Vegas is because it's always sunny (sometimes too sunny), always fun, and as far as vacations go, it's pretty cheap! We know that usually "cheap" isn't the first word that comes to mind when you think of Vegas, but it's true! 

If you're coming from the west coast, flights are super reasonable, there's a ton of ways to get free drinks (slot machines, anyone?) and the best part is that the Downtown Grand is a cool place to stay with an amazing rooftop pool...and it's only about $50 a night. Yup: just $50. 

The Downtown Grand is located near both the Fremont Street Experience and the hip Fremont East neighbourhood, so you're stumbling distance from all the cool cocktail bars and restaurants in Downtown Vegas. We are soooo in love with the rooftop pool though! Unlike the pools you'll find on the strip, this one is, dare we say it, relaxing? It's a beautiful place to just chill out and work on your tan,without having to fend off a bunch of bros. 

The rooms are nice and modern, without any luxurious frills, but definitely the best $50 a night place we've ever stayed in!
