3 Wineries to Visit on Oakland's Urban Wine Trail

California is known for it's wine country, but usually Napa or Sonoma comes to mind. Oakland? Not so much. But, we recently discovered the super-hip Oakland Urban Wine Trail, where you can go wine-tasting without leaving the comfort of the city (and Lyft rides).

The trail has 10 different urban wineries over a 10-mile radius, but the good news is most of them are in the downtown core. In true Oakland style, the wineries aren't your typical stuffy tasting rooms; instead they are big, open, renovated warehouses where wines are made locally from grapes sourced all over California. Here are 3 of our favorite places to go wine tasting along Oakland's Urban Wine Trail

Two Mile Wines

Two Mile Wines cute little urban winery set in a space with mismatched furniture and exposure brick. Think New York meets West Coast chill vibes. The wine is made right here in Oakland, and you can enjoy your wine with a game of big jenga or foosball. Watch out for their gin that's coming soon too! They are usually open Thursday-Sunday.

Campovida Taste of Place

Campovida is a collection of everything that you would want in your wine: organic, delicious, and community oriented. Their "Taste of Place" in Oakland is part-winery, part-restaurant, so you can enjoy the lovely rose with some yummy food too. Hopland, their farm, is located 90 minutes outside of the city, and you can visit their vineyards and farm there too! The tasting room is open Thursday-Sunday.

Rosenblum Cellars

This bright and delightful spot is located along the Embarcadero in Jack London Square, and it's the perfect sunny spot to enjoy some wine in. Rosenblum Cellars is known for it's Zinfandel, so much that they make over 20 different types! This is definitely the spot to come to learn more about this popular California grape.
